Women technologist

There are many interesting women in this world that are successful and educated in science and technology. The women in technology of my choice would be Marissa Mayer. Marissa was born in May 30 1975 and originated in Wisconsin. Now she lives in San Francisco/ Palo Alto. According to Wikipedia her occupation is Vice president of location and local service, Google computer programming instructor, Standford University. She has became one of the main faces at Google due to press interview and appearance to many event. After graduating from high school, she was one of the two that was chosen to go to the national youth science camp in West Virginia. After that she went to Standford University and obtain her BS in symbolic system with honors and M.S in computer science. Mayer was actually the first female engineer that was hired in Google. Also, one of the first 20 to be a part of the company. What she is mainly involve with in the company is the Google search engine and Gmail. She was women of the year in Glamour Magazine. Also, Mayer was listed in the fortune magazine as a powerful and youngest women in the world. What's great around this time period is that everyone is into socializing and politics. And apparently social network is the center of attention right now. I really commend this lady because she worked so hard to get where she is at right now. She accomplish many amazing task and receive many upscale recognitions through the public eye. It shocked me because she is utterly young and she accomplished a lot and became one of many Americans' idol. She did make a huge difference in our society because she was the first women to work for google at a high end job. She showed everyone that women could be a part of the technology world and there's no harm to that. I believe that if we have more women in the science and technology field, gender gaping will just disappear.

here's a clip of her being interviewed by Martha Stewart
