Unit 5 was a very interesting section to me because the information that was provided was intriguing and captivating. It made ask myself why did all this happening and why do women have to suffer and fight for their rights. We are the foundation to the family, society, and to the WORLD. i was very surprised that women are being discouraged to be a part of the technology world due to lack of comfort in the workforce. I feel that women shouldn't feel that way and they should feel welcome because we are human beings too. We do work as hard as men do. However, we still struggle and work twice as hard as men just to go up on the corporate ladder. This gender inequality needs to stop and makes some changes to make a difference in the world. Women plays a huge role in our society and with out them the society will fall apart. this weeks' reading made think in a different perspective and made me realize the things to do or act at work. At work my boss is a male and he definitely expect a lot from me because i am a female. he provides me a lot of tasks that have to accomplish in a small amount of time. As for the males that works there, he doesn't really expect much from them and they have don't have a lot of tasks to take on from. So i do see a huge difference on that. And when i make a little mistake, i definitely get yelled at and demand me to fix it right away. so this is not only in science and technology but it happens everywhere even in retail. Overall, this situation will be fix and women will be more a part of the technology world.
